Just a marketing ploy. Have seen this before. Note how it says best offer, if you made
a fair offer, chances he would take it.
The idea is to attract you to his sight with the hope that you will look at his other listings.

Agree with coinguy ... a marketing ploy for people that have their searches keyed to the highest prices.

I won't be making any offers on that or any of the other items from that seller. Totally turned me off.
