1965 cdn penny sharp 5

does anyone know how common or rare a 1965 cdn cent sharp 5 is?
in another words if i had 100 1965 cdn pennies how many should i expect to contain a sharp 5?

By Sharp 5, I assume you mean the pointed 5.
There are 4 different varieties of the 1965 cent but the mint does not release the mintage
for each variety, only the total number minted which was over304 million so it would be hard
to say how many of each variety are out there. You could get 5 or 6 in 2 rolls or you get non,
it is impossible to say.

but you also say that you do not know how common or rare they are
so how can you put a premium value on a pointed 5 when you confess you do not know how common or rare they are?

I didn’t put a value on it, Coins and Canada did. They go by the sold prices at auctions and eBay.
It is supply and demand that dictate prices. The fact that a pointed 5 is worth more usually means
there are less available due to a lower mintage but how much lower is impossible to say.
