initials in voyager canoe

Post by ber_169.SGT » Thu Feb 23, 2023 9:56 pm

Over several years of the silver dollar voyager coins there seems to be a set of initials in the bale behind the Indian.
Some more clearer than others, but there. I have enlarged a copy to show what I am talking about.

The letters represent Hudson’s bay company I believe. They have been around for 300plus years

Correct, it stands for Hudson’s Bay.
The Voyageur paddling with the Native American is an agent for the Company.

Yes I had to explain the same thing to another collector on a different site 3-4 days ago. It's all explained in the starting paragraph for 1935 silver dollars from in any Charlton.
