5 Cent 1921?

I discovered this amongst some old coins from an estate sale. I have opinion of what the date is but I I hoping members will weigh in with their interpretation of the barely readable date. The picture was taken under a microscope.

I am youtube watcher and I see Robfinds Treasure uses something called nikadate to bring back date on coins. Would this help? I am thinking it might be 1921? Thoughts?

I thought that nickadate only worked on buffalo nickels (madfe of nickel).

It would be a long shot if it is a 1921 as there is believed to only be about 400 in existence.
What makes you think it is a 1921, a TPG would not certify it unless the date was clear.

Re: 5 Cent 1917 not 1921.

Because the coin was in rough shape, I cleaned using silver cleaning bath solution and it showed me the date 1917.
I was hoping but that's why you collect coins, looking for the undiscovered rare find.
