Weird 1963 Penny

Hi all

I am new here so please excuse any errors if i post in the wrong discussion area.
My father gave me a 1963 Canadian penny that he has had for about 30 years and asked if i could find any info and if it may be worth anything other than being a novelty.
The lip around the edge is rounded and the penny is smaller than other pennies from its date range. Sorry the penny is not in the best of condition. Strange something like this can get out into circulation.

Someone has "spooned" the edge of this coin.
It is now a damaged coin, but if you like it, keep it.

well thank you very much, never heard of that before. I went a looked up some youtube videos.
Not sure why someone would waste their time on a penny and not finish it.
