I'm a pretty casual coin collector but I've been doing some roll hunting lately and came across this nickel.
Would this be considered an indented strike? Any idea what it's worth?

It's a damaged coin.
Some one has too many tools and too much time on their hands.
Impossible for something like this to happen at the mint.
You may have difficulty spending it.

Deliberate damage.
If you try to spend it, make sure the Reverse is up when you hand it to the cashier.
