USA COIN ERRORS - ARE THEY WORTH ANTHING?

Hi All,

As I learn from the pros on here, you have been a real help...thank you. Question I have now. Are coin errors worth anything? Who buys them if there is a market from them?

I have posted some pics of errors I recently found... Looking for any info on value (if any)..

Buffalo Nickel wrong size planchet?

The first is an off centre strike, a legitimate error.

The second coin has just had the reverse ground off, you can’t have a coin
with with the rim only showing on one side.

The Buffalo nickel looks like the rim has been removed, I would like to see the
other side and the weight in grams to two decimal places. Don’t know what wrong
planchet it would be could struck on.

Here are the pics... See attached... Its very thin planchet. Weight is 1.559 grams

Any ideas? Date is 1934. I cant see a mintmark.

Looks like it could be an acid etched coin. Usually the rims are the first to go
and the coin becomes thinner, depending on how long it was exposed to the acid.
