1766 Irish half penny
I am trying to identify a 1766 Irish half penny. It does not appear like any in my searches. The border is angular and the lettering in some cases is part of border. Any help please

I don't think you will find this in any of your searches. It didn't leave the mint looking like that.
Someone for whatever reason has flattened the edges and then flattened the extra metal
causing the effect that you see. The uneveness of the borders tell you this was done by hand.
I have seen this done on more modern coins, perhaps someone trying to createan "error" coin.
Too bad as this just a damaged coin now.

Well, in y references for the 1766, there were no angular sides. Your coin doesn't have them symmetrical either. I think the angular rim/edge is post mint with someone just playing around. According to Krause, it's an Obv 1.
