1982 Lincoln Cent extreme bubbling?

I know most bubbles on coins fall into a few small categories... like true mint errors, heat damage, or improper plating. But honestly... I have never come across something so very drastic. I think it must be a plating error. This is a large-date variety, so it's common, and I believe plated. But I thought I would share and see what you all think.I call it my pox coin.
Cheers!!

This was the first year for the new zinc plated cents and the mint had a lot of problems
with zinc dust on the planchets which when coated with the copper caused this effect.
Not uncommon in the early years of zincoins.
