I have one of these. I stumbled across it a while back. I could have had it for 40 years, or it was the last penny I ever got---I'm not sure. Looks like it's been through the mill though.
However, that's not the point. What I'm interested in is how this happened and how scarce they really are; (searching on the web I found just one that sold for about 14 including shipping). And how is it that this die error (Harp and Guitar) only occured the one year. My guess is that it was damage caused in polishing the die, made worse then again. Any thoughts?

yes i believe you are right is due over polishing of dies that is what i been told also..hard to find one of those in mint state...cheers
