2005P non-magnetic Canadian Penny

Post by Piepala80 » Sun Oct 04, 2020 6:25 am

There were 759 658 000 coins minted in 2005. There were 30 525 000 minted with the P. Who knows how many 2005P Non-magnetic pennies are certified and known to exist? Can someone give me a number

The only way to find out how many are certified is to check the listings of all the TPG's and add them up.
I read on another site that someone said there were more than 200 certified but I can't say how accurate this is.
When they were first discovered they were going for $3-4 thousand dollars but more have been turning up as people are now starting to look for them in their uncirculated sets which has reduced the value.

Thanks. I heard the same about roughly 200. I looked up how many 2005 have been certified on the website but it includes all the 2005 varieties. I haven’t seen anywhere where it says just the 2005P non-magnetic. I actually have 2 of them. ICCS certified MS-64 and MS-66. I’m actually selling my MS-64 on eBay and keeping my MS-66. I’ve seen the MS-64 still sell from around $800 to $1100. Depends the timing and the interest and auction exposure. Thanks for all your help. Cheers
