nickel pressed into penny

Post by elmo86 » Tue Jun 01, 2021 3:30 am

I'm super new to this, please bare with me.
i've got what appears to be the same size, weight, and i'm assuming material as a penny.. only it's pressed with the canadian nickel design. I've had it for some time now, just thought it was neat.
I hope the attachments work,.
Any info would be great! (Wondering if anyone else has come across one/ Value if any) Much appreciated.

They are very collectable I don't know a lot about them either other than yes they are cool coins a member on this forum SPP could tell you all about it as he collects this kind of material.
Hopefully he will see this and comment on it as for pricing I think $150.00 + for these if graded probably more?

I understand it's the same size and weight as a penny.
Is it magnetic or not?

You will find some information here about coins strike on wrong planchet.

Great find! :D

I'm surprised there are still some coins like that out there that you can find (if you are lucky).
