1964 Struck Through Large Piece of Scrap
1964 Struck Through Large Piece of Scrap
I think this coin has been struck through a very large piece of scrap on the reverse. This deformed the planchet causing an imperfect strike on the obverse by Elizabeth. I know the coin is heavily circulated and not pretty to look at but I thought it was interesting to share and get peoples thoughts.

Re: 1964 Struck Through Large Piece of Scrap
The coin is not round, and it has a deformed rim.
Thus the coin is most likely damaged.

Definitely not done during the minting process. There are so many things wrong with this coin. Definitely squished and damaged.
