I have recently pulled about 400 Victoria large cents, that I put away back in CCRS days, out of storage. In looking through them I notice that the obv. 1 and 1a are marked with an ID system that I believe was created by someone who used the discussion name of "Dan in Crystal Lake". If I remember correctly his name was Dan Flynn. I am wondering if anyone saved the info that was on his website or his numbering system.
Thanks

He has a website and will be publishing, in some format, a complete exhaustive study of all the 1, 1a's and 1a/1's. I've seen drafts.

Thanks Bill. He had another site years ago, with more varieties listed that I had used to tag my coins. Guess I will have to wait for him to publish.

You should try to PM him or look for a link on his site. He is in Wisc now, not Chicago area.
