Post by Mint State » Sun Jun 23, 2024 2:13 pm

Hey all, is this considered a dryer coin? I've heard about them, but never held one... look like it may be.
Opinions?

Weight- 3.10 g
D- 19.100 mm
T- 1.320 mm

Thanks.

Looks like one to me as well. Some people think dryer coins are coins that clank around forever in a dryer. They are coins that become stuck (usually) between a frame member and the drum. The coin doesn't move, but the rotating drum just keeps polishing away at it is the way that I understand, because I've plucked them out of mine, but theyt are usually stuck on the edge of the rim lip and rotate around what evers in the dryer.

Thanks! It's slightly underweight and size, and the rim is completely flat... it feels neat to hold actually. I'll file it away in my odds and sods!
