Rob Turner is starting a series of articles on the Canadian large cents, with the Jan/Feb CN Journal. He frequently has valuable articles in there, but this starts the Vicky series. This first one is on the 1858 Dominion cents with great magnified images of the oddities to be found on them. The dates that follow will help to explain the complex die situations that make many early Vickies "uncommon", and treasure for variety collectors..

The newest chapter on the lengthy series that "bosox" has written is a MUST for any Vicky collector. This is the 3rd in the "Uncommon Cents" series and this one dwells only on the '59 recognized varieties and the brass cent. You all should join the RCNA just to be able to put these chapters into your library, and you will then be able to go back as far as you want to research topics from the monthly (sometimes bi monthly) articles on all manner of collecting topics. The "Uncommon Cents" series should be in everyone's personal library.
