1958?

Post by DCanada » Mon Mar 17, 2025 4:41 pm

Can anyone shed light on this coin? I’ve had it for decades and don’t know if someone before me dipped it or something- it looks very professional if so. Appreciate any feedback, thanks.

A weight would tell a lot if it is a penny ona dime, but an XRF would give you a definetive answer

XRF is a xray of a metal object and tells you the composition of the coin or what ever, some large coin dealers or gold buyers stores will have one pretend you want to sell this coin most will not charge you. From this info and the weight you can find out your coin is struck on or plated

The common term for XRF's being done is "zapped" or "getting zapped".
