Heres a little beauty I picked -1875 Canada Silver 5 cent with hole.
What makes this special is some little lady adorned this around her neck
145 years ago, her man decided to adorn her with this silver coin.
Next time you find a holed coin, remember there is a special story behind it.
I have also included another coin for viewing

Re: 1875 Canada Silver 5 cent with hole
Most times I've found a hole coin is because it was in a floorboard/wall and drilled during renovations.
It's quite possible this is another reason for holed coins.
Looks like it has some good detail on it

My experience with holed coins is they where jewelry, i know my mother had a coin necklace but that’s way to meany years ago for this old brain to remember what the coin was.

might worth $10 to $20
Re: 1875 Canada Silver 5 cent with hole
Lets see the reverse, is it the large or small 5 variety ? Hole or no hole if its an 1875 silver 5 cents coin its worth a lot more than $20 ! There is quite a market for holed coins especially in the US especially the rarer coins like the 75, I have a nice collection of better grades. Only the purists, from the old school will disagree, lol !

Just from the wear around the hole and inside it, shows that it was on a chain or something for years.
