1903-H 180' degree

Post by JJThomson » Tue Feb 16, 2021 2:31 pm

I have a 1903-H Canadian Nickle with the King's bust 180 degrees compared to the front - sorry I am not familiar with the terminology used to describe this, but I see that it is not mentioned anywhere in discussions or in pricing?

Has anyone seen this, and know what the value might be - the condition is very good - all fine details are recognizable and very little wear.

Not sure how to do photography where I can rotate the coin so you can see it? I'll have to ask my kids to show me LOL.

Welcome to the Forum.
That is the proper rotation for a 1903 5 cent. It wasn't until1908 that they went
to a Medal Die Axis.
Also they were not called Nickels until 1922 as they are made from Sterling Silver.

Thank you very much for your response! I am still very much in the learning stage! I have "completed 2 full sets (1900 - 2020) of the nickles (except 1921 naturally) and am almost completed a Penny collection (minus 1936 dot naturally). So am very appreciative of your response!
