1953 Nickel close leaf no strap

Post by Shmitty » Thu Feb 18, 2021 12:37 pm

Hi, I’m looking for some feedback on the attached pictures. I found what I believe to be a five cent close leaf no strap 1953 nickel. The nine seems close to the edge and the “E and I” seem flared. I am not a coin trader or in anyway an expert and joined the forum specifically for this coin. It doesn’t look like it’s in great condition, either some damage on the queens face or error on production. Any feedback is appreciated!

Thank you for your reply. I really don’t see a shoulder fold/strap. Are you sure?

I'm 100% positive.
The strap has been worn off due to the excessive wear on the coin.
