The two terms NS (No Shoulder Fold) and SF, (Shoulder Fold) first applies to the 1953 issue of Canadian Coins with the issue of the new Queen Elizabeth Obverse. The first coins struck had a high relief resulting in the folds on the shoulder of the Queens dress did not show well (NSF). This gave the appearance of a bare shoulder which was rectified by retooling the dies resulting in the shoulder straps showing (SF).

This site is such a great resource for things like this. All you need is time invested to educate yourselves.

You have a winner. That is a 1953 SF Far Leaf.
I would send it out to be graded.

Thank you. I'm actually reviewing coins for a member of our church who is considering donating them to our church. So, she will be happy to learn that one of her father's coins is worth more than face value.

It is certainly worth way more than face.
Even in Au condition it is worth at least $500.00
and if it is in MS condition, your looking at over $1000.00
Those prices are for a graded coin so as I mmentioned, it is worth getting graded.
