Found this dime (on right in both images) in a roll of 50 coloured bluenose dimes that I ordered from the mint, the metal is very obviously the wrong colour. Is this a common flaw for this dime or others? As noted elsewhere, the coin quality is inherently low, particularly as the coin has many, many surface marks despite being uncirculated.

The Winnipeg mint makes all circulating coins, it"s a factory if you did not know it is making coins, it could be washers or what ever, they also produce to a minimum standard like MS 63. The coins like a dime are struck like 300 to 500 a minute, high quality is not their priority, the coins fall into a large metal bulk bin and eventually taken to another area for rolling. The blank planchets are burnished before striking, maybe the colour difference is due to a batch of blanks that got less burnish, some years the dimes are found almost dark in colour.
