I looked through a box of mixed 2021 Bluenose dime rolls and found a few coins with ink issues, see photos.

The RCM subcontracts the colouring of it"s coin to a third party in USA, they are not trying to produce a perfect coin. Just ask yourself what premium would you pay for these minor off colour dimes ?

I was always thinking that the color is done at the RCM facilities, not sub-contracted .
Is it for all circulating color coin or just the bluenose?

I have to admit, I'm really surprised. Do you have any reference?

A few years ago was invited by the RCM to a MC travelling road show in the GTA, they had the new president, designers, couple engineers, and a slew of reps, showing off their latest and greatest upcoming coins. Was allowed to ask many questions on production of coins, even had the progress of the helmut coin from round disc to final product, asked the engineer who coloured their coins, and he said they were sent to a US outfit in the east coast

I found this video from RCM. So, I should understand that the sequence for color sticker is not from RCM?

There really is no reason for this RCM engineer to say otherwise, like all the yearly, baby sets and those special themed sets are assemble by a third party in Quebec who hires challenged person to work, all I guess to save money, the colouring is not a sticker, but some form of a pad stamping that the RCM has a patent, a few years ago they sued the Aussie mints for infringement
