Here are a few pictures of this coin I found in a 10 cent roll. It is definitely a dime strike because of the bluenose on the reverse. It is smaller than a regular dime and it is not round. Could it be a strike on the wrong planchet? The dime2 picture has a regular dime underneath, you can see the size difference. Dime 1 picture has the regular dime side by side to the strange coin. Dime 3 and 4 pictures show the obverse and the reverse of the coin. It is a 1968 to 1989 dime obverse. Any ideas on how it came to be.

What is the weight?
It is possible it was struck on a wrong planchet as it seems thinner
causing the weak strike.

2.65 grams is the weight. It has a smaller in diameter than a normal dime and it looks like it is not perfectly round like a normal dime.

my weight was wrong, it is 1.88 grams.

Maybe a "dryer coin" or someone playing games.

I had previously ruled out the dryer coin. If you look closely at the rim you will see that it is uniform all the way around and that the coin is not perfectly round. If it was a dryer coin then the rim would not have been uniform all the way around. Thank you for your input.

Well, dryer coins in all shapes and sizes, as well as appearance. It didn't come from a mint that way.

Are you 100 percent sure that it did not come from the mint like that. I am not so sure.
