2004 Canada dime - Can anyone explain this?

can anyone explain this...it is on both sides.
Planchet issue/ or maybe a plating issue?
AND, would you have this Dime graded?
any comments are appreciated
looking fwd to finding out what it is.

It looks to me like the top nickel plating peeled of or is peeling off, letting the copper plate show through. I wouldn't sent it in, as the cost would far exceed the less-than-a-buck value. This may have been the original owner's attempt at an experiment.

It does look like the top layer is off, but it almost looks like it was then painted with nail polish. Although it could be an attempt to replate it that didn't work. I'd go with someone tried an experiment....

You might never know exactly what happened to cause this but the fact that it could not
have happened during the striking of the coin defaults it to damage. Value 10 cents

I found a 2011 without the edging so far it looking like a gas pocket blew, the one I have has been sent to CCCS as it has no edging
