1901 Quarter variant

I have two 1901 quarters and it seams that the 1 on one quarter is closer to the zero than the 1 on the other quarter. Is this common or is this something new.

last digit was handpuched. you may find position variations. both look like a the same distance from the leaves

Thank you for the information, The distance difference is between the 1 and the 0, but since the last digit is hand punched then there will be many variations.
