What is your source of information that this was struck on a Malaysian planchet.
The only year the RCM minted a 20 sen coin was in 1997 and it was made from copper nickel.
Are you saying that a planchet from 1997 suddenly turned up in 2011 and was struck?
All you have to do is weigh your coin. A Canadian 2011 quarter weighs 5.03 g

Hi Coinguy,
I know lt won't show to RCM list but acct. according to looks of the planchette ive seen the 2011 20 sen from malaysia the white finished or white covered coin not sure the exact term and not sure if they are the only one using that type of coin though, not unless if the planchette was reused.. and if so this is what l want to understand if ever how is the process of reused planchette from different countries..
Thanks and really appreciate your help and l honestly want to learn more from you if there's a chance.

How much does it weigh?
Will it stick to a magnet?

Jay-
The RCM does not reuse planchets and you can't always go by colour.
What you have is an environmentally toned quarter worth 25 cents.
All you have to do is weigh it to prove it to yourself. There is no way that
is a Malaysian or any other foreign planchet.
