gold colored 1979 quarter

my mother gave me a bunch of coins and I found the gold-colored 1979 Canadian quarter. My wife, who is Canadian, has never seen such a thing, and her siblings too. Does anyone have any ideas what this is and is it worth anything?
in the pic's I put a normal silver-colored one next to it just to show it's not the lighting in the room.

Welcome to the forum.
Can’t get your picture to download but if your quarter is gold coloured,
it would be plated after it left the mint by a third party. Not really any
extra value except as a novelty coin.
