Post your coin on this site (attached link) and "pginrh" will chime in and let you know all about. He is the guru for Canada 50 cent and author of the 50 cent variety guide in Charlton, but Charlton didn't have 10% of the space needed for everything that pginrh has recorded:

Great coins you go. Did the last digit were always handpunched by the Master of the Mint?

Between 1941 & 1949, the last two digits were manually punched.
In 1951 and 1952, the last digit was manually punched.

The 9 in the 1949 hoof-over 9 is actually a triple punch 9/9/9...In later die states there is the start of a die crack between the 4 and the 9. The hoof over is actually a die chip that deveops after the die has been used for a while.

!9943 A Die Crack between hoof to 3 to rim is fairly common with quite a few different dies.... is there any evidence of die cracks to the right of the unicorn's leg that would allow a more definitive classification to a Zoell number or whatever.

1944 Is a medium wide date (I find that it is more rewarding to look at the date as a totality rather thane the gap between the last two digits). Also I believe that the second 4 is doubled below the bar of the 4... pretty sure that this is catalogued in the 2014 Charltons 68th edition.

1945 Wide Date and it looks like a blunt 5.

1946 Sure looks like PMD on the bottom of the 6th, otherwise it is a low 6, wide date.

.
Editing....the 1949 is a wide date and more pictures can be found in the Variety section of the 2014 Charltons 68th edition.

Sorry, although I have several different dies with a die crack that are similar to your coin, I cannot positively identify it. :o
