Just by your question and not even looking at the photo, my answer was large bead.
There are only about 485 small bead known and most of them have been graded and holdered.
Chances of finding one in the wild are between nil and none.
Looking at your photo, definitely a large bead.

Of course it is a large bead coin, have you ever studied a coin so closely that you can't see anything? and please do not tell a novice collector that there is no chance of finding a coin. Once I have found a coin, some worth several thousands of dollars, I store it and forget about it. It is the hunt that is interesting to me.

Re: 1966 dollar small beads ?
Hello, I have a 1966 silver Canadian $1 coin. I have read about the large/small beads and looked at photo's but I still can not tell which version the beads are. They look like the small beads but with less that 900 made I'm doubtful.
Can someone with knowledge about this coin tell me if they are small or large please?
