Help with an estimate for my 1969 error coin

Post by Joemerry » Mon Jan 06, 2020 7:46 pm

Hi I have a 1969 Canadian dollar that looks to be a error coin as the edges aren't the same all the way around and the small beads around the side are different sizes , the condition of the coin isn't the best. I would like to sell the coin but I don't know it's value or if it has any value I have loaded some pictures and was wondering if someone could help me on the price as I've done some research but came up with no other coin like mine for sale . Thanks

I don't see any error ... just a coin within normal tolerance. Any stamped, pressed, struck small metallic item will have small differences as the things are spit out. Just like nails, screws, paper clips or bobby pins ... no two are exactly alike when they emerge. Coins are common-use everyday items just like what else is mentioned above. Just a very slight difference in striking pressure on any part of the surface of the coin will make beads or the legends appear slightly different. I think that it's just worth a dollar.

Well actually the edge of the coin is bigger then the other side if the coin , and if you hold the coin on its center and flip the the coin it is off centered , the bees size difference is just to show the missalignment of the die so u thought was an error coin, us that not correct ?
