Hello, I have a 1938 Canadian dollar which I believe has a die crack similar to that submitted by a user here (dot36). It doesn't seem to be a recognized error variety, however if indeed it is the error mentioned by the user is it worth having it certified? It's it especially rare? I'm not a grading expert so I'm assuming it's AU with the slight potential of MS60. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or pointers.

Re: 1938 Canadian Dollar Die Crack
Die cracks are caused by malfunctioning in the manufacturing process (in this case cracked dies) and are errors, not varieties. Unless spectacular in some manner (huge, cuds, etc) they are worth little, if any, premium, and normally drop the value of the coin.
