Can we see the whole coin not magnified so much. Are you talking about the "line" going through the denticles or the letters? Both, I think are die cracks. What do you mean by "unused"? The coin has been heavily cleaned/polished

It was labeled un-used on the site I bought it from. I'm new to coin collecting I also see more lines on his face.

Yes, the X's are repunched. The die cracks (if both lines are raised) are minor errors that usually take condition and value slightly lower, rather than raise it. The coin is not "unused" and circulated quite a bit and is in XF+ condition due to the nicks, scratches and gouges. You could probably get 20-25 for it, but there are quite a few of these around in much better shape since it was the first year minted.

I'm not a expert here but I think you need to take into consideration the JOP counter stamp to value this coin.
Maybe a picture of the reverse . but this may be a good learning point to a new collector, You need to learn the grade of a coin yourself and don't believe what others say. I don't buy on line because i like to have the coin or note in hand , Buy what you see not what someone else sees. Just the way I buy , not to say its the best way for everyone.

When you say un-used, I think you mean Mint State or uncirculated which is the proper terminology.
Also as stated, your coin has been both cleaned and circulated so there is not too much value
over bullion. There are just too many of them out there in uncirculated condition. At one time
I had 9 but am down to about 6 now.
