Can anyone tell me if this is damage or not ? Found this toonie with weird marks along the rim.

Not uncommon. Caused by the rim lettering which is a separate process.
If you look at the rim, you will probably see that wherever their is a raised part, you will find that a letter has been stamped in that area. Too heavy of a stamping pushes the metal up. ( It has to have someplace to go)

Did you also check serrations number on your 2019 Toonies ( polar bear only)?

It seems RCM did it again! Like the 2010 Toonie with 14 & 16 serrations on rim, the 2019 mintage is giving us the same weird enigma, at the difference that the 16 serrations showing the scarcest variety, instead of the famous 2010’ 14 reeds.

Compilations are updated every day and, to date, numicanada’s toonie stats are:

8 /108 total 2019 toonie , so less Than 8% for the scarcest 16 serrations. Stats from all of you are welcome

For the moment, we are at 10% 16 serrations ... need to gather some stats from center & western

Unfortunately mine only has 14 serrations

i don't have any 2019 toonies right now. but when everything's gonna back to normal, i'll surely check them out.

one easy way to get "new" coins is to put them in vending machine and push the cancel button to get it back. most machines, instead of giving you your coin, they will release the one at the bottom of the pile inside the mechanism. you can do this method numerous times to get "new" coins. i'm not doing this often cause it takes a lot more time than just doing coin roll hunting
