New Black Ring Toonies
It is a bit early, but the mint had indicated the $2 coin with the black outter ring commemorating the Queen would be out early in 2023. Has anyone seen them out yet? I am sure if/and when they are out, many will instantly go into pockets and collections, but looking forward to seeing them.

Got mine in AB about 3 weeks ago with change - very different from what we're used to.

Messaged the Mint a while back, doesn't sound like they are going to sell them. They said that starting in December they were going to supply rolls to banks. Checked my bank last week and they haven't received any.
Re: New Black Ring Toonies
Apparently I was misinformed, they are available from the mint this morning.

In my opinion, what the mint says and the actual number that they put up for sale, Post Office or otherwise, are 2 or 3 different numbers. Many more are put up for sale than what they acknowledge.

Some banks are letting rolls go, others apparently are not - or at least saying they are not. At the mint you may purchase just 5 coins and they are not listing rolls. Coin dealers already have special wrap and regular bank rolls. The price has jumped substantially for any type of roll very quickly. There were 5 million of them prepared for circulation. Given the number that have gone out and that are supposed to go out, there seem to be few circulating.
