1882 One Cent

Post by sman25 » Sun May 02, 2021 1:57 pm

Does anybody know what this stamp would be from and how it would effect the grading?

Thanks!
Steve

Its hard to make out the stamp with your picture, some merchants stamped the coins back then others for maybe a special year ? The coin is considered damaged un-gradable, but not un-collectable some people collect these coins

Some kind of merchant stamp which, unless a well-known merchant and early, usually dertact from the grade and value. You need a much larger pic.

Looks more like damage than a counter stamp.
