How is the value of a coin affected by cleaning? IE, how much, by percentage, has the value of a cleaned coin been lessened?

I have herd talk of 50% lower than trends for regular maybe higher for varieties just guessing on my part

I'd say it depends on the amount of cleaning or dipping involved. If there are clear scratch lines in the coin, it could reduce the value by 70-80% or more. A good guesstimate would be 50-60% if evident clearly.... excess dipping maybe 20-30%
