HI - What does "Original" mean on a graded banknote?
"Original" on a graded banknote means that the note has not been altered or tampered with in any way. Notes that are not given that designation have been pressed or something to appear a better grade than they really are
BCS uses the "Original" designation on their notes....PMG uses "Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ)" designation...PCGS uses Pristine Paper Quality (PPQ) designation. ...Generally I would stay away from notes that do not have these designations
