Hi, I noticed this in the 1954 banknote valuation chart;
" Prefix D/I - Test "
Huh ?
No values have been added , nothing in Charltons 33rd Edition.
Can anyone shed some light ?

Look in the CPMF under DI note, you will find your answer, The BOC was testing a varnish

Look at the BOC letter, the Fort Erie company which was part of Sherwin Williams is a varnish coating supplier, the BOC lasered four small squares on these 20 notes and one can inference they were testing a varnish

Darn, I don't have one of those. My intials are DI and born in 54 , so I have one note, just not one of those notes.
