1954 5 dollar
Is there any value in a 1954 Canada 5 dollar note? The Ser# is JX2612297 and signed by Beattie & Rasminsky? It is nice and crisp, but has been folded in someone's wallet I think. tks

Can you supply a picture of both sides Bill.
Currency, like coins depends on condition. There were 10 million of that prefix minted.
Even in uncirculated condition it is only worth around $40.00

I don't have a camera or cell phone. The bill is nice and stiff with no bent/torn corners, but it looks like it had been folded in half in someone's wallet. I have no use for it.

There's always some collector value (& interest) in the first 4 series - so I can't think of why not. That's the most common variety (0.4 billion issued & 64% of Numista users have reported owning one) but if its between VF & EF it should interest somebody out there. Can you list it here, on eBay, or Kijiji?
Here's the Numista link to the 1954 Modified $5.00:

Numista suggests it would be valued between $13.00 - $23.00 (based on info collectors enter). Not sure how accurate that is, & it would depend on the eye appeal (naturally).
