Reproducion Bank notes

I have seen several Bank notes on Auction sales That are advertised as Reproductions. They look very real and im wondering if anyone can tell me How this is allowed.
How can they not be considered counterfeit???

They are counterfeits and they are not allowed.
To sell as a reproduction, they should be marked COPY.
Unless someone reports them, not much is normally done as they are not selling them as genuine.
Just look at the listings on etsy, there are all kinds of them for sale.

Yes, sadly, it has been a chronic plague for our hobby. Many sales platforms have rules that copies are supposed to be larger, printed on one side, etc, but the sellers seldom follow the rules & the platforms just want their commissions. The best place to report them (IMO) is a US based collector site. "Bobby" the webmaster for the Coin Community Family CCF reports them (as far as I know) so you may want to try him?

I had to InstaGram users try to sell me fake notes the moment I joined IG & haven't used the site much since (just left a bad impression of what social media is about).

"Bobby" from the Coin Community Forum will only report listings for coins and currency
that are listed on ebay. He will not report listings such as those on FB or Etsy.
