Hi everybody,
This is my first post. I'm not a collector, just newly in a position to have bills and coins of all sorts pass through my hands daily and I intend to extract as much value from them as I can without unnecessarily wasting time hanging onto anything that is worth no more than face value. I hope no one will mind if I inquire here. I try not to take anyone for granted. I appreciate any help, but I understand fully it's voluntary and there are no guarantees.
So, here goes. I've just come into 4 new Viola Desmond $10's in sequential order. Other than being apparently brand new and sequential, I don't think there's anything special about them now, but within the community, is there any anticipation of a possible increase in value such that they'd be worth putting away for a decade or two?

I have one other question. About low serial numbers, I read elsewhere on this site that only the ones below 1000 are valuable. Is that universally true? I have a $10 bill, FTM 0005084, so, just wishful thinking I'm sure, but is it at all interesting? It's the one with the CN train, the Canadian, on the back.

Re: Viola Desmond $10 bill
welcome to coinsandcanada
most of them are worth $10. low serial numbers are 0000001 to 0000999. above that, no extra value
sequential numbers no extra value
many of these banknotes certified are GUNC-68+

i think over time, everything below grade 67 wont worth much

Thanks for the reply.
Follow-up:
I might have imagined it, but did I read something about the FTW prefix having some significance?
I received one today, FTW 2124275.
Just wondering.
