I am new to this site and my knowledge of notes and coins are limited.
Wondering if this note has any story and value.

The AA are just the prefix letters, they can be any combination of two letters.
What you do have which can be identified by the asterisk is that it is what is known as a replacement note.
There were 800,000 of this prefix printed and it does have a slight premium over a normal note.

Looks like it might be an AU58. From what I can see it has 2 soft corners on the right side.

You might get $8 - 10 if you put it in a sleeve and avoid any more creases.

Good luck

I've notified the moderator that this "1973 dollar" thread should be in "banknotes", not "coinage"
