$1 Centennial Notes Uncirc?

Post by hr2pilot » Mon Apr 05, 2021 1:40 pm

Executor doing estate liquidation. Hate to say, but have absolutely no knowledge of collectable money. Please forgive my ignorance.

These are 8 one dollar 1967 uncirculated banknotes. I'm somewhat confused on what is shown as "prefix" in trying to determine where these notes fit in the spectrum of issue as they have no serial number. Any help in explanation on how to define these notes and find their value is much appreciated. Uncirculated, in sequence I believe, crisp, no folds or marks of any kind.

These were issued in 1967 as a Special Commemorative Serial Number during Canadas Centennial year.
There were also the regular serial number bills issued that year.
As there were 12 million of these issued and many were horded in uncirculated condition, you might get 3 dollars each for them if you can find a buyer. There are just too many of them to have any great value.
