Here is a news release from the Bank of Canada re: the new designed $20 featuring King Charles III:
https://www.bankofcanada.ca/2024/05/ban ... w-20-note/
In a nutshell: they're redesigning the note (vertical format) with the king's portrait & the new design (same green colour schemed) should appear in 2027.
Signature Change-overs (PREFIXES to look out for)

It will be interesting to see! I wonder if it will take as long as the vertical $5 they said was coming a few years back.
Re: Signature Change-overs (PREFIXES to look out for)
I found a prefix FZZ 5240413 with a Timothy Lane signature is it a replacement note or ?

Re: Signature Change-overs (PREFIXES to look out for)
The FZZ is just a regular prefix. The BoC stopped inserting replacements sometime before 2015 (& the issue of the Commemorative $20). Instead they just started another prefix (FWW for the 2015 $20) to meet the order demand.
Check this link out for an explanation on insert replacements:

The FZZ prefix, or any $20 note with "Lane Macklem" signatures are uncommon right now b/c the BoC is not releasing many new prefixes since the majority of businesses are reducing the opportunity to use cash. I find it difficult to use cash even at a 2nd hand charity store (like Value Village) never mind Shoppers & a dozen other retailers.

Re: Signature Change-overs (PREFIXES to look out for)
I started making it my mission to spend more cash .... Cash is king and its what the bank don't get eventually ... if we have $1 and we always spend it through a card eventually the bank will end up with the whole thing in transaction fees where if we spend it cash they don't end up with it and if we quit using cash sure it's convenient but man we all will be in a world of hurt !!! With cash people can save and not have every transaction monitored and also buy things that are untraced once we go digital garage sales, market place ect will all be taxed and they can make any funds the government gives out have an expiration date !! Not including the whole social credit system but we won't go into that ... let's keep cash alive and we can still collect easily!!! Look how hard it is to get pennies now lol have a great day and thanks for the info !!
Re: Signature Change-overs (PREFIXES to look out for)
So Lane and Macklem $5 INN99... INR6868....INP3181...INM190..... Are just regular not worth nothing other then a few consecutive ones I have .... sorry I'm not to familiar with the polymer money I don't care for it but I have lots of it right now so I thought I would have a look lol .... are the ones listed in these threads the only important ones to watch for ???
Re: Signature Change-overs (PREFIXES to look out for)
For some reason I'm just going through signatures on money now and I found a HBG2803621 with Macklem and Carney now is that what it started with then changed over to Wilkins and Carney ? Sorry just trying to figure it all out I'm starting to understand more and more lmao
Re: Signature Change-overs (PREFIXES to look out for)
-$5.00 (yes, they're just regular notes)So Lane and Macklem $5 INN99... INR6868....INP3181...INM190..... Are just regular not worth nothing other then a few consecutive
Unless your note is a special serial number (radar, repeater, etc) & in AU to UNC they won't be worth much above FV (Face Value). The M-C HBG $5.00 should be AU to UNC since millions were later released by the BoC & most collectors caught these (out west).
Try taking the link to the CPMF
This is where I got my info & it may take time, but if you register on that site you can see the tables on their Serial Number database for yourself. Be patient as it does take a bit of time to familiarize how the tables work.
