Post by William Fowler » Sat Oct 29, 2022 10:55 pm

Just picked this up and wondering if this was a misaligned printing plate?

I just did some research and this looks like an out of register bill. It is in AU condition. Please feel free to leave a comment. Thank You.

It is a misaligned printing plate. Too bad because it devaluates a nice looking bill.
Collectors like their bills well centered unless the printing runs off the edge in
which case there would then be a premium.

As a Printer myself, I agree that the 2 sides are simply misaligned. Each side is in register but just somewhat misaligned from front to back. The bindery worker operating the cutter that day could have paid a little more attention to help minimize the issue (trim more off the right. less off the left).
cheers

I would call this an out of register bill.
from the big central rock in the stream, at 11 o'clock, is that a rock or a fly fisherman

I would say it is a rock, I don’t think a fly fisherman would be standing halfway down a waterfall.
Besides, they need calmer waters to fly fish in.

Here is a close up of the falls. It looks like a fisherman north west of the big rock, but it is a play on shading in the river. Pretty cool though.
