2006 $5 Security strip on reverse.

Post by daning333 » Sun May 14, 2023 9:55 am

It's kinda funny how you can look at something ( for years) and out of the blue one day, you see something different about it.
While looking a listing of 2006 $5 notes I noticed an irregularity with the reverse security strip. They are not consecutive in placement note to note. It seems like every second note, the security strip starts higher, finishes higher than on the consecutive note. There is about a half an inch differnece. Huh.

I don't have enough notes to see if it continues through each brick, but interesting without any added value I'm sure.
I can guess the process they use that causes this.

I love little differences !

So you have a note that the security strip is on the left side but upside down ? or the strip is on the reverse

We will really need to see a clear photo of both sides in order to help you
otherwise we would just be guessing.
