1973 2 dollar bill large b small b first serial number missing ink

Post by positivevibes » Mon Dec 23, 2024 7:09 pm

I have an uncirculated (new condition) Canadian 2 dollar bill with the large B and the small b. The first serial number appears to have had dust on the plates and left blank dotted spots on the serial number; especially the 6. Perhaps if the number was completely missing it would be significant. Don't know if it would add any value to the bill. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum

No added value for something so minor. It would be the same as a slightly overinked serial number.

1986 issue not 1973
As stated by coinguy no premium for something so minor
All BBE prefix notes are large/small B variety, ten million printed, unless it's in exceptional condition it's a face value note
