Charlton Canadian Coin Catalogues

Post by George Richard » Wed Feb 12, 2025 12:39 pm

I am building 4 Canadian coin collections for my 4 grandchildren (began about 15 years ago). I seldom research coin values. However, with time on my hands (I am an 83 year old retiree) I recently consulted two Charlton catalogues (2010 and 2023) and was surprised to see decreased values for some 2023 listings as compared to 2010 listings. Can anyone give me an explanation?

As soon as something hits the streets, whether coin site or coin book, that says something is scarce or hard to find, then coins come out of the woodwork and prices drop. It's all supply and demand.
