border crossings
For those of you going down to the States from Canada or visa versa for coins or trinkets, the border agents on the Canada side are enforcing the tariffs. Whether coins are included or not, I don't know. I just know that the Canada agent for me at the border, coming back from the VA for medical in Buffalo said that they were going to start charging tariffs for anything more than $50 US and that the tariff would be $65 Canadian for every $100 US goods. It's the first time I've ever been asked about "anything to claim", besides tobacco or booze, since I moved from the US to here in '97, by EITHER side with the border agents. Good luck and be aware. The US agents on their side waved me through with NEXUS with no questions at all.
